Looking for Volunteers pls

Assalaam Allaikum

I belong to a farming sort of forum with many sections, ( general  farm living, cattle, goats, home schooling, etc) one which include free conversation about current events, religion, politics, etc.

It saddens me that so many are mis informed about Islam but I also am a firm believer in being responsable for ones own education.

There has been a thread started about other religions/beliefs and I started one titled IslamQ&A and although I invited tham all here to learn for themselves I imagine many won't come, which is their choice, we  all have a path in life we follow.

My goal is to get 10 or more Muslims 1/2 woman 1/2 men 1/2 American Muslims 1/2 Muslims from other countries. Half under 30 half over 30. This should not take more than a few visits to the site. You'd have to sign up just like we do here. Most are  very very nice and resectful people, however just like we get some hateful people here, there are some in each crowd.

If anyone is willing to volunteer to visit that forum and answer questions to promote understanding and breaking down false info, please let me know. May Allah bless you for your compassion and willingness to promote peace, tollerance and understanding, ameen

There is already a question waiting geared toward the sisters from a woman wanting to know: How restricted are your everyday activities due to your faith?

Now, I know many of you may think, well let them come here, well some may do that but hundreds  will read if you're willing to visit and answer. Now I would love to have alll of you, so anyone willing please PM me.
I would give nearly anything if the following people would volunteer, maybe check in 2 or 3 times in say........one week. More if you have the time. I would love it if  (but certainly not limited to) Jannah, Kathy, Timbuktu,  brb need to go look up some names........ To Be Continued ;)

Jaihoon, Timbuktu, Siddique, Fozia, Bhaloo, Jannah, Kathy and anyone else who would like to answer some questions about Islam.

[slm] I am willing to join the board and try my very layman's answers, but I am not sure if I will be able to post any replies, because I find my slow connection only allows me to post rarely on some forums, not in all.

For example, I have been unable to open the main Discussions page on islamonline.net, and am unable to post directly on my blogs. But if Allah wills, the forum you mention may be one of those I am able to post to.

yes, the link to the farmers' forum, please.

You may find the following links useful in understanding and answering:

You will find many non-Muslims quoting from the ali sina site (freedom.org), which is half truths from an ex-shia Muslim.  The following site answers ali sina's  lies:

Thank you Kathy and Timbuktu
I'll PM you the link, the general chat site cannot be accessed without sign up, and it is easy.

To give you all an idea, here are some questions already posted waiting for you:
---------------------------------------------------------------------

My question would be for the female Muslims.
How restricted are your everyday activities due to your faith? ie; freedom to travel alone, freedom to speak your opinions, decisions about child rearing, etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a simple question.

I hear all the time islam is a religion of peace. Yet i see where it teaches to kill those who do not believe in islam, hence we have the osamas and the zarkawi's(Sp?) that go out and kill in the name of islam.

My question is if its a religion of peace, why haven't the 1.5 billion muslims stood up and condemned osama, zarkawi and the other "extremists" that murder good people in the name of islam!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My question:

What is the most important thing about your faith that you would like non-Muslims to know?
----------------------------------------------------------

I guess I would ask, "Do you view what's going on now between the U.S. and Iraq as a religious war, a political war, a cultural war, or what?"

I really don't suggest you go to the faith freedom site unless you are very well versed in Islam.  They are full of lies and false claims and someone not completely understanding Islam could get confused.  They have site members who regulary go to true Islamic sites, pose as Muslims and try to cause fitnah.  One of their main goals is to confuse Muslims who are not thoroughly educated on Islam and cause them to question their faith.
I would recommend, brother Timbuktu that you edit their link off your post.

Agreed sis taalibatul ilm. The url timbuktu posted is a site that refutes the claims of that anti-islamic site.

Oops, sorry brother Timbuktu.  I didn't click on the link since I thought it was the real site, and I have been there enough times.  Jazaki Allahu khairan sister Jannah for correcting me.
