| heyy [slm] i just ordered a laptop last nite, but its from futureshop which I belive is only up in canada, I ordered a Gateway MX6625. You guys must have mega sells this weekend with thanksgiving?? Im sure you can find an excellent deal. Just a quick question. do you ever buy the extra insurance or waraanty thing?? I chose to get it for the laptop from recomendations from friends, just to be on the safe side. |

| [slm] We're Dell people. We actually had picked out a Dell and had a question, so my husband called and the guy actually found us a better deal that was not advertised. Both our computer and laptop are Dells and I am very pleased. ;) [wlm] Marcie Ps. My aunt had a Gateway and she had terrible problems. |

| [slm] Dells are the way to go, but why do you need a laptop? Why not a desktop? ??? Yeah, those sales after thanksgiving are all the rage, especially when they give out free stuff. I remember I went to Bestbuy one Friday after thanksgiving at like 7 am, and I was late, there were about 500 people in front of me for the blow out sales. |

| wlm, i already have a desktop... i want a laptop with wireless that i can take around if i go places. yeah i'm thinking dell sometimes they have promotions but i don't see any lately... maybe they're waiting for thanksgiving? bhaloo this family here has like a couple bros and some cousins so they all divide up the circulars and make up their orders and send one guy to each store to do all the buying and they go right after fajr :o |

| [slm] I saw on the news yesterday that laptops are going for $300 I know a Pakistani store in my town, I had purchased a laptop and a desktop and fixed an older laptop there, They may give you a break.... |

| [slm] I recently got a Sony VAIO B series on ebay for less than a thousand bucks which is pretty good for a VAIO. I like it so far. It's not too heavy (about 5 lbs), and it doesn't get very hot after long periods of usage, and it's wireless enabled. One drawback is that it only comes with one monitor port and 2 USB ports. No other ports. Ports can be added with a port replicator. |
