| slm, I'm looking for pictures of brides in hijab. A friend of mine is getting married back 'home' and her in-laws are against her wearing hijab on the wedding day. I can't understand why they would think she would take it off when that is when the most people see her? They are also refusing to have a separate wedding. So, she wants to bring some pictures with her of 'brides with hijab' to show them it can be done and that she will look great too. So if anyone has any please post them or send them to me privately. It will only go to her inshaAllah for her in laws. jazakumallahukhairan if anyone finds any wsalaam |

| slm, thanx guys.. the funny thing is those 'marriage collections' pictures are really non-hijab one's in magazine/store ads that someone has photoshopped with hijab!!! and its most definitely done by a guy because a girl would know to put a neutral color as an underhijab, but this guy keeps taking the dupatta pattern and using it again as the hijab... anyhow jazaks they'll be useful inshallah:) |

| I came across these pictures on another forum, and saved them cause I really like this idea, I mean most of us have seen pics of malay/indonesian brides wearing a scarf with a dupatta overtop, they look beautiful but as they dont usually wear much or any jewellery in the pics i've seen its not very desi-ish. Anyways here's a quick description, the top is high necked with a mandarin type collar and it looks like she's just pinned a plain hijab at the back of her neck turkish style, and then dupatta over top. |

| Jannah, you friend should think long and hard about marrying in to such a family. Does she really want people who order women to remove their Hijab as in-laws and blood relatives of her children? How can she be sure her husband would allow her to abide by the laws of Islam after marriage if her fiancée’s family behave like this before the wedding? |
