Here is this show: http://www.sundancechannel.com/film/?ixFilmID=6558&rname=DOCday What happened in this show were that they did a simulation, to see what it would be like to go through what the Muslims in Guantanamo Bay are going through. They took 7 British citizens, 3 of them are Muslims and subjected them to 48 hours of torture that the detainees at Guantanamo Bay are going through. They made them urinate/defecate in their pants, by not allowing them to use the toilet. They physically tortured and humiliated them. They put them through sleep deprivation, and other forms of psychological torture. Many of the things they were doing were against the Geneva conventions. The people administering the torture are people that are military people familiar with the torture techniques sanctioned at Guantanamo Bay. Quite a few of the non-Muslims were saying that any form of torture is allowed, that was before they went through the torture. But after they went through it, they all said that it was inhumane and should not be done. And this was only after 2 days, imagine what the Muslims are going through for 4 years there in Guantanamo Bay. 2 of the non-Muslims couldn't even last the 2 days, they gave up in the middle, and one Muslim gave up in the middle as well as he said it was too degrading. After watching this show I'm sure most people (Muslims and non-Muslims) feel really sorry for the Muslims being held at Guantanamo Bay, and have come to realize just how evil and inhumane the actions of the U.S. government has been. |

| If you read the statistics of how many Muslims at Guantanamo tried to commit suicide and how, you would know what they have gone through. To mess up people who know committing suicide will enter them into jahannam forever but still do so, takes quite a lot. Now we have the news about the secret prison blacksites all over Europe where they have taken and detained people and tortured them for months and years without any accountability or respect to any international law. They had one man on the news talking about what he went through. He was there for 6 months without any charge and after torturing him, they released him saying he was innocent. Now we have people in very high positions of government justifying the use of torture. How the world turns a blind eye to their own hypocrisy. I know every Muslim is feeling anger and despair. How any person can go through life seeing these absolute injustices and not have the solace of believing in the Herafter I don't know. |
